MONEY MARKET FUNDS

MONEY MARKET FUNDS

The investment companies collect the money and invest that money in short term securities. These securities are 

  • T.bill
  • Commercial Paper
  • Banker Acceptance


T.Bill (treasury):
issued by govt. in budget deficit (income less expense more)
less risky

Commercial Paper:
high good will companies
high risky as compare to T.bill

Banker Acceptance:
less risky compare to commercial paper.
The security whose guaranty is given by bank is called banker acceptance.
